Alwareness November piece by Heli St Luce

I retitled this Hope for this month. It used to be called

AM I MAKING PROGRESS?

I try to do them every day
You have to be careful with the word you choose
Positive statements to change the way
Your mind works, so you cannot loose
In lifes arena of learning how to live
Learning how to dare, learning how to give
I feel like Im poor and I wanna be rich
Id like to be sweet and lovely
But I now that Im a bitch
To be a rich bitch is more than OK
But to be a poor bitch is a sad and sorry state.
The patterns in my subconscious are sabotaging me
So Im doing affirmations to set myself free.
I try to do them every day
You have to be careful with the words you write
You do them at least 10 x in the morning then again at night
I conjugate them, I sing them
You may write them, say them, paint them, think them
And you pray that somewhere, somehow you manage to sink them
Into the layers where they can make changes
And alter the layout of those mountainous ranges
That compose our sub conscious.
The place where its begun, the roots of our being according to Jung
I do try to do them everyday
You have to be careful with the words you pick
There are no nos allowed thats the main trick
But to see the nos you have to be quick
Vigilance is needed to find a different way of phrasing
The things you want to loose add or keep
It takes a lot of weighing up to find whats best believe me
Using other peoples is an alternative thats easy
Louise Hay, Shakti Gawain, Diana Mariechild, Sondra Ray
Theres many more who write them, and yes, men write em too
It could be the easiest way to create change in the inner you.
You can write them for a certain number of days
There are many, different formulae, many different ways
I dont know if really work, Ill tell you what they do do, for me.
When I try to do them each and every day
Im very, very careful with the words I choose to say
I make up tunes to sing them as I walk,
I sing them as I cycle and drive
If only I could sing them instead of talk
They help to set my mood in mornings early light
And they give me good dreams when I do them late at night
I Lennie now release the patterns in my conscious
                  creating resistance to my good
I allow myself the best and I accept it now with ease.
Everything I eat adds to my health, strength, beauty and vitality
It helps maintain my perfect weight of 75 kilos.
Money flows easily into my life,
I have more than enough for all of my needs 4, 000E p.m.
I am a magnet for divine prosperity
With some of them it seems Im still a little off the mark
But you cant light a fire until you have a spark
I weigh more than 75 kilos, I desire much more money
When I recite my affirmations people think they're funny
The fact that they're not quite true yet doesn't make me a liar
It's addressing being lazy, while deciding to be a flyer
So I try to do them each and everyday
I like it when Im happy and they make me feel that way
Im giving myself a present thats a positive thing to do
And maybe if I keep it up theyll all come true

Alwareness topic - November

November:
Peace, hope & luck. Can I make a difference, is peace possible, Hope for a better life(style). Is good luck and happiness possible for everyone and how?

The simplest answer to all of the questions is yes. Yes, YOU can make a difference. Yes, peace is possible. Please, never give up the hope to improve your life and lifestyle. Yes, good luck and happiness are possible for everyone

How? Focus on gratitude. However shitty, your life, your experiences, the people around you are. There is always something that you can be grateful for. By focussing determinedly on finding wherever that teeny, tiny space of gratitude has hidden itself, you will force that space to increase.

How to make a difference? Open your mouth. Once a day, every day say one thing you believe or wish with all your heart or something that needs to be said in something or someone’s defence or actually voice your disagreement with something that has been said. Be prepared to not be liked rather than go home in self attack – for not taking your space.

Hope is all well and good but hope with no action is meaningless. Hope connected to standing up courageously for what you believe, listening well, first, then saying what you think, refusing to back down to bullies and injustice, being prepared and eager to learn, wanting your ideas challenged and engaging in fervent disagreement are the ways to create peace.

Knowing you are actively contributing to the creation of peace will improve your life amazingly, when your life feels better your life style has less importance.

Good luck is walking in integrity with yourself, at that point you begin magnetising your desires. You will find yourself in the right place, at the exact time you need to be there.

Happiness is knowing that whatever happens, whatever life throws at you can overcome and move forward. Happiness is not the absence of obstacles and problems it's knowing they only occur to help you define your forward direction.

Simple, not easy.

For Raphael and Marie - if you come looking!

Who Me?

This skin, this hair, these lips, these feet, this backside are all the evidence
and proof I need that Africa is integral to me
Africa; seat of humanity, civilisation, erudition; denuded by greed, still suffering and bleeding.
This mind, it's thoughts, these words, this culture are the legacy of my European birth

I’m an Afropean, take me to a museum,
Progeny of a masterful strain, spawned by unnatural selection

This man sings revolution, that man says do human revolution
Meaning that any person - even me - who decides to and changes positively
Improves their environment incrementally
That is how we are gonna make world peace.

But I say revolution is circling, rotating often stagnating
I want to sing and do EVOLUTION
Inherent improvement, exponential, expansion of potential.
Cos what you fight you make stronger
A battle against evil expands it, extends the journey makes it longer

Visibly African, feeling European
Issue of survivalist genes, shaped in animality, created in barbarity
Strength, rage, tenacity, ingrained before puberty
Cultured and nurtured on a continent of prosperity, created with ill gotten gains
Still sustained by slavery.
Chocolate slaves definitely, sugar, tea, coffee, orange slaves by definition, a surety
Though most subscribe to the mendacity of the supposed abolition of slavery.

I’m an Afropean put me in a museum, make a pseudo scientific exhibition of me.

European intercourse over the centuries, makes of me a stranger in my home
A lowland culture that ignores it’s history, that celebrates and honours genocidal stupidity
Ignorants who pillaged so called primitive cultures, made a golden era from rivers of blood
The age old story of massacre and misery for financial glory
Walk the streets of Aleppo, the story’s just the same

(*Define for me clearly, I acknowledge those who have tried.
The difference between zuilen and apartheid.*)
Tolerance claimed here in abundance but tolerance is a filthy mire
Acceptance is absent yet, that is what I require.

Many times magnetised by a similarity of skin tone
Far too often judged, rejected, too strange, too different, too unknown
Self oppression and racism make this skin difficult to own
Lucky, blessed to have been only metaphorically stabbed to the bone.

Name me Afropean, neither one thing nor the other
Colour does not define my sisters, it does assign my brothers
Look elsewhere for explanations of my feminist opinions
I’m now exploring the schisms of my outer and my inner.

MY FAVOURITE THING
